Seeming “careless” is the Way of the Kingdom.
These are just some of the things we read concerning His Path:
“seek FIRST the kingdom and THEN all we need will be added to us”
“Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.”
“unless you are converted and become as a child, you will not be able to enter the kingdom of God”
“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But [f]seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be [h]added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Is it really so hard to believe God is real? And, He actually cares for us and will take care of those who seek Him with all they have?
With that said, here are some practical points:
1) Unless you have been told otherwise from Him, work. Do work that does not consume you though, for only One must consume you and it is not a job or business.
2) Be very content with having what you need, not “want.” Many wants are from the Evil One to distract our minds and hearts.
3) if you are in a place financially where things are looking like they will not work out, then seek Him in the quiet place, love and worship Him… until your mind and heart is set on Him, and His most sure goodness.
THEN, when in THAT place within.. then, ask Him as a child asks their Daddy, for the thing you need. Then smile, and KNOW it is coming. And, it always will! I have lived like this for a long time. It works.
4) Make sure you are seeking His Path for you and not the world’s. Because He never promised to take care of those who are walking in the world, but rather only those who are “Seeking His kingdom First”.
